Rules Book
General Rules
1. Cross-tribal communication outside of public areas is NOT allowed. You will face severe consequences in the event you would not respect this rule.
2. Do NOT impersonate the host, or pretend like you have any special influence on him or access to undisclosed information on the game.
3. When given instructions or temporary rules by the host, follow them.
4. If you cannot attend a challenge or a live tribal council, you must notify the host as early as possible.
5. At all time, you must have a valid bootlist in your confessional. Not having one when needed will result in being pulled from the game. (There are NO self-votes in this game). Update your bootlist regularly : You never know when a twist will make you need an updated one!
6. Players who are voted out CANNOT talk to players left in the game, this includes right after being voted out. This rule also applies to players left in the game. Jury members also have a list of more specific rules to follow that can be found in Ponderosa on their arrival.
7. Quitters will not have a seat on the jury. The vacant spot will not be replaced. Definition of quitter is someone who leaves the game by themselves without the regular process of a vote.
8. You MUST post ALL chats/PMs you have with other players as well as REGULAR confessionals. Remember that you are being filmed and there will be episodes after this game. I need CONTENT to make episodes with, so please, post everything, and I will harass you with this. I will manage to use what I need from what you give me.
***If you have trouble to remember to post your conversations, here is something you can do: Go in AIM settings -> IM logs -> Check the “log my IM conversations”, and apply it. This way you have your historic of conversations!***
*** And if you want interesting airtime, then give me some better than confessional than “I am UTR and I think I have a good shot at making it to the end”. I probably won’t even find a room to place that anywhere in an episode, especially if you post this boring line round after round.***
9. Players who are considered inactive will be removed from the game to my own discretion. Not participating at challenges, not keeping an active confessional, not participating at tribal councils, or at camp life are all elements to determine your activity. You will eventually get a private warning, and if the situation does not change by the deadline given, you will be pulled out of the game for medical reasons.
10. Any form of cheating will be dealt with ejection from the game.
11. This is an ALIAS game. You may not reveal your alias. This makes it easier for the writing of episodes, because people tend to talk about other games. I have seen the difference between season one (non-alias) and two (mostly alias), and I can tell there’s a major difference.
Rules related to a tie
a. In the event of a tie at a challenge, it will be broken by time, unless specified otherwise in the instructions.
b. In the event of a tie at tribal council, there will be a re-vote. Those who are in the tie will not vote, and others will only vote for the players who are tied. If the same tie persists after a re-vote, there will be a purple rocks draw.
c. In a purple rock draw, all tied players are safe. All players who have immunity are safe. Others will draw rocks, and the player to draw the purple rock will be eliminated.
d. In the event of a tie at final four tribal council, there will be a fire-making challenge (no re-voting). The winner will survive, and the loser will be eliminated.
e. In the event of a tie at a final tribal council, the worst ranking juror’s vote will be ignored until we have a winner.
Rules related to a hidden immunity idol
a. If there is a hidden immunity idol in-game, players will be told about it and how many there are. Otherwise, it just means there aren’t any in the game.
b. The last time it can be used is when there are 5 players left in the game.
c. It has to be played after players have voted, and before the votes are read.
d. It can be played on another player, or can be handed to another player when the time comes.
e. The property of an idol can be traded before tribal council. Just pull the host aside and let him know to who you would like to trade it. They will then be given the property of the idol. It cannot be traded in private during a tribal council.
f. When an idol is played or out of the game, and there are no other idol at the camp, a new idol will be hidden.
g. Nothing stops you from crafting a fake hidden immunity idol, but I am not going to help you with this. This rule could change in a future season, but for now, I’ll keep it this way.
h. It can be played at tribal council (on yourself or on somebody else) ONLY once you’ve been asked if anybody wants to play an idol, you’ll then post the URL of your idol picture. You have to do that before I reveal the first vote. If you can’t make it to tribal council, you may leave a note with your pre-vote stating how you’re going to use your idol. (NOTE: Your pre-vote idol use will not count if you attend TC and cast your vote live.)
