Please, don't make another thread, I've let people make their own threads for the past two seasons, and it is a mess to make episodes with, especially when people are giving the wrong round number, this is why we are changing the recipe for this season. At the end of an episode, the thread will be locked, and a new one will be made.

So here we are, sitting in the back of this rinky-dink jeep, about to start an adventure of a lifetime, and I'm looking around noticing that there's a lot more older people this season. I am ecstatic, 'cause I was worried I'd be one of the token, uh... seniors, coming into this. And then of course I'd have to slap on a fake ass smile and nod my head and pretend to understand what kind of hip hop they're into and I really don't have the time or patience to play around with that nonsense. The only game I'm here to play is Survivor.

Actually, the more that I'm thinking about it... I think that we may be divided by age. You know, young versus old. If that's the case, I'm take this kids down- cause we may have wrinkles, but we also got widsom. Wrinkles and wisdom, baby.

Coming in this game, I'm definitely gonna try to be everybody's friend. I'm going to go out there and build relationships and help out around camp and butter everyone up like a nice bowl of popcorn. It may not be easy, because I'm not the kind of person who just puts himself out there in the public 24/7- I like my privacy, but that's what it takes in this game.

I'm a big thinker, and I like to analyze things and people. I think that's where I'm going to have a problem in this game, because sometimes I get lost in my own thoughts and sometimes I'm not as smart as I think I am. Another problem I think I'm going to have is trusting the other people, because I know that they're all thinking as much as I am and brewing up strategies and whatnot, and there's a little voice in the back of my head that's reminding me to be real cautious and never trust anyone a hundred percent.

Just as I thought, when we reach the mats, Jeff explains that we're gonna be split up by age. Honestly, I'm not that worried. We got experience, we know how to work things out, all those kids think they're all that and there's gonna be some friction over in that camp.

Suddenly, Jeff tells us that our first reward challenge begins right away, and we need to complete this giant hike through the desert to claim this nice camp. I mean, I just told the other tribe that we're gonna put up a real fight and now we have to do an agility challenge?! Seriously? With all these old people?

The hike was grueling, but I noticed that Bob in particular was really leading the team forward. There he was, at the front of the pack, answering all the questions lightning fast. This guy must be a genius or something, I don't know how he did it. It gave me a little hope, because personally I was struggling a bit with the challenge.

Unfortunately near the end of the hike, Bob got stuck on the question- maybe the sun got to his head, but it really held us up. I just knew the other tribe was pulling ahead. We lost the hike but we were really close and didn't give up at all. This sounds cheesy, but we may not have come away with the pre-made camp, but I think we got a real good tribe and I think we're going to be successful in future challenges.

So we go back to our crappy little camp and we need to get to work on making a shelter. This is my time to shine, cause I'm a hard worker at home, and I told myself I would be an even bigger one on Survivor. These people wouldn't vote out a guy who is helping out around camp all the time, would they?

Out of the gate, I'm getting good vibes from Bob and Tina. The three of us are out there finding wood and food, making good conversation. Bob even used his glasses to get a fire going- he's such a great guy. These are definitely the kind of people I want to align myself with and be in an alliance with.

A couple hours after we got to camp the work started to slow down and I was able to start talking to a few more people. I've only gotten general first impressions so far

I'm really liking Cassandra. She's the only sister out here and she brings this upbeat energy which is pleasant. I have a feeling we'd be a good match in an alliance. I've been primarily to talking to her and our conversations have been going very well.

When I talked to Twila, we didn't hit it off... at all. I tried starting a conversation, and she just gave me unenthusiastic replies with no trace of interest. That's fine by me, but it's her own game that she's hurting.

From the brief time I spoke with Keith, I got a good impression. He's nice, even if we didn't get a large conversation going. I think he's going to be beneficial to the tribe in the long run.

I haven't really talked to Russell much. He seems opinionated and kinda rough around the edges. I don't think we're going to be best buddies during the 39 days, but I don't think I'll hate him. Not too much, anyways.

I haven't gotten ahold of Wendy yet, and she doesn't seem to be putting up much of an effort around camp. With the rate she's going, she's on track to be first one booted off simply for a lack of effort.

Me and Tina were working on the shelter, and let me tell you something, that woman was a machine. She was like robot just assembling all of this together, barely breaking a sweat. We finished quickly and it looked pretty good. Then Wendy, who has done basically nothing since we got here, comes along and puts one measly leaf on top... Thanks Wendy...

Bob couldn't get a fire from his glasses working, so I hop on in and start taking this two wooden sticks together and just rubbing and rubbing. I read one of those survival books before coming here and apparently the friction from the rubbing creates combustable energy or something like that. Anyways, I'm just rubbing away for what felt like forever and I finally get a flame that took forever to bloom. When we actually got a fire going, I felt really proud, because I have been working my ass off, probably doing the most work out of anyone here.


I'm really pumped for this upcoming immunity challenge. It would be really great to get a win, considering how close we were during the hike. I'm nervous about getting into alliance talks just yet, because I feel like that'd just be coming on too strong, so it'd be best to just avoid all of that and just not go to tribal council at all.

Russell just approached me saying how he wants to work together and gave me a final two deal. It was the sketchiest, lamest deal ever and I absolutely do not trust him, but if he keeps his word that's no skin off my nose. I have a feeling he's going to make a similar deal to everyone else in the tribe, so there's no point in actually trusting him.

Yeah hahah, it's super hot right now. I'm used to it since I grew up here but it is definitely a big difference from Minnesota where the weather is more similar to Calgary haha

Yeah that sounds pretty accurate haha. But yeah, I do love Minnesota. I don't really mind the cold weather, the city I live in is beautiful and the people are great. So it's treated me really well! Have you always lived in Calgary?

Yep, lived in the same house too (though I'm only 16). I think it's a good place, but I don't have a lot to compare it too.

I think it'd be cool to live in Vbancouver. I've been there a couple times and it's a really great city, but I'll probably end up staying in Calgary because it's still growing and there a ton of jobs/opportunities here.

Awh yeah that's a really good point. Plus you are already well adjusted to it. Vancouver is beautiful though. I absolutely love traveling so that is a very tough question hahaha. My current dream right now is to move to Boston, although I really love Toronto. And I spent 3 months in Europe last year and fell in love, so I would love to go back, however I don't think I could ever see myself permanently moving there.

It was honestly the most incredible experience of my life, I learned so much from just being there for a few months and I'm totally addicted to traveling now. And my Spanish has gotten a lot better haha

I actually didn't, they definitely warned us to be careful and all of that but I was almost always with friends and I was extra careful, especially when I went out at night. So that was good. But I did hear from awful stories about people getting their stuff stolen.

Yeah, unfortunately that's a crappy part about travelling but it sounds like you had a lot of fun. I've always wanted to go across Europe, like just ride the trains from country to country.

I think New York would be really fun to visit/live in for a short while. New Zealand is definitely up there and maybe somewhere in the Carribean. What about you? Where are you planning to go next?

New York is amazing!! I absolutely love it there! I agree, I would love to go to New Zealand and the Caribbean as well. That would be incredible. My dream vacation is Machu Piccu in Peru, but I'd also love to go to Buenos Aires, Argentina and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I also didn't make it to the south of Spain while I was there, so I want to go back to Spain to go to the southern part. But I've never been to South America at all so I think that's where I would want to go next!

I've been all over New York, actually. I've been to NYC, but also Long Island, Albany (I actually lived there for a couple years), Buffalo, and some other small cities that I don't remember as well

Hahahaha. Every summer we go to BC and I've been to a lot of places there but other than that I haven't really travelled at all. The farthest I've gone was LA a few years ago with my family.

I don't really know. I think just walking around the streets and hiking would be fun - just soak yourself in the surroundings.

I've never been one to assume the leadership role- that's just something that I've carried with me all my life. I'm more of a follower, more of a listener, and I'm hoping that someone from our tribe emerges as the leader.

It's day two, I'm talking to Bob, and he offers me an alliance with him and Tina! I'm estatic, because those are the people that I really wanted to align myself with. We started talking about the other people in our tribe, and I let it slip that Russell gave me a final two deal. I don't know if that was the right thing to do, but hopefully it made Bob trust me a little bit more. I think at this point Russell is moving closer and closer to the chopping block if we lose this immunity.
